Prague Arts Tour

Prague in a Nutshell with Private Guide - P6

Prague´s most beautiful sights in an easy-going rhythm in one day – by foot, on wheels or on board of a boat.

This tour is specifically designed for those visitors who only have one day and still they would like to get to know Prague´s most important sights, accompanied by a nice and knowledgeable guide. It may also be a good tour to consider when you prefer to spend the first day getting to know the capital with a guide and then spend the rest of your stay discovering on your own.The first part of the tour (about two hours) will take you to the Old Town (Astronomical Clock at the Old Town Square, The Municipal House, Powder Tower, Former Jewish Quarter, Estates Theater (related to W.A. Mozart), and The Charles University).

WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THIS TOUR, ACCOMPANIED BY YOUR PRIVATE GUIDE, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO VISIT THE FOLLOWING SIGHTS:

Then there are two options:

Taking a car with a driver, transfer comfortably to more distant places, such as the Wenceslas Square (the heart of the New Town and a place where two students burnt themselves after the 1968 Russian invasion to Prague); The Dancing House (a rare example of deconstructivism in modern architecture and one of Prague´s icons); The Lesser Town (Kampa Island with watermills and the The Kampa Museum of Modern Art and its open air sculptures, John Lennon Wall and Václav Havel bench). The car will then drive us up the Hradčany hill, to see the Prague Castle.

The second option is to take a boat instead of a car. Again, this tour will take about two hours. We will get on a boat and watch the beautiful Prague panorama from the Vltava River. Let´s see how many of Prague´s spires you´d be able to see from the board of the boat! Let´s count them together! On board of an old boat replica, we will sail by the Charles Bridge and on the Devil´s stream, entering the so called Prague Venice and approaching the Grand Prior Mill. Refreshments are served on the boat, the cruise with English guide commentary takes approximately 50 minutes. We will continue with a walk over the Charles Bridge and take a tram up to Prague Castle.

Prague Castle is going to be the last part of our tour. Prague Castle represents a real open air textbook of architecture offering impressive panoramas. We will get to know the main square with luxurious palaces and then the individual courtyards - there you will see the St. Vitus Cathedral, The Royal Palace and Basilica of St. George. If we get there after 5pm when the ticket is not necessary anymore, we are going to be able to take a photo of the charming little colourful houses of the Golden Lane. We will then walk downhill, through the Saint Wenceslas Vineyards and enjoy a breath-taking view of all the four historical Prague towns – a nice end of a very rich program.

TOUR RATES

The listed rate is a price per HOUR OF GUIDE SERVICE FOR THE GIVEN NUMBER OF PERSONS. Yours will be a private tour, so these would only be the number of people you travel with and for whom you order. We most often structure Prague tours into ½ day blocks (3-4 hours each). To get your expected total tour price, multiply the hourly rate by the number of hours. You will then pay for the actual number of hours guided during your tour.
